Featuring trees with beautiful fall foliage, the Portland Japanese Garden is a great destination to visit. Purchase tickets up to ten days in advance through their website, which include free tours.
Delbert Hunter Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Located in Dallas, Oregon, the Delbert Hunter Arboretum and Botanical Garden displays plants native to Oregon. Visit in the fall to see the beautiful foliage of native Oregon trees!
Skinner Butte Park
With rock formations, a playground, hiking trails, and bike paths, visiting Skinner Butte Park is a great fall family activity. It is located in Eugene and free to visit.
Mt. Pisgah Arboretum
Located near downtown Eugene and Springfield, Mt. Pisgah Arboretum is free to visit (however, Lane County Parks does require a $5 parking fee). They offer nature walks, and the arboretum features an extensive network of trails, making it a great place to visit for a family trip!

Beazell Memorial Forest
Beazell Memorial Forest features a beautiful loop to hike and enjoy the fall foliage. It is a public park located in Philomath, Oregon.
Smiley Face Hill
Near Willamina, Oregon, Smiley Face Hill features larch trees surrounded by Douglas firs that make up the unique smiley face. There is a small pullout nearby to get a closer look at the unique attraction. Visiting Smiley Face Hill is a free and memorable fall activity.
