DM6 Homeschool Co-Op

DM6 Homeschool C0-Op could be a great fit for Christian homeschooling families who would like to partner together to cultivate community, and provide learning enrichment activities for our kids. Our name represents Deuteronomy chapter 6. Throughout this chapter, we are given instructions to disciple our children “so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life,” (Duet. 6:2)”.

Our primary purposes are as follows:
1. To create a unified supportive community. Parenting in HARD, homeschooling is HARD. We desire to be each others cheer leaders. Quarterly “Mom’s night out” will aid to serve this purpose.

2. Structure some gatherings for every member of the family to participate. This invites Dad’s and extended family members (as desired) an avenue to engage in developing meaningful friendships with other families in our co-op. Also facilitates opportunities for mentorship to happen organically with our children and other adults in our co-op.

3. Provide learning enrichment opportunities. All are theme or holiday centered and can easily compliment any curricula you are using. When selecting field trips I attempted to choose budget friendly options.

4. Practice our faith by doing service projects as a group
I have created a calendar of events (August ‘25 – August ‘26) to serve the above purposes. There are 2 learning enrichment gatherings or field trips a month; months with holidays will have additional. One Mom’s night out every quarter and 5 “Every Member of the Family” events within the 12 month span.
