High Desert Museum Homeschool Day

Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6, 2026 | 9:30 am – 1:00 pm

$10 (activities included) | $7 (no activities) | $12 chaperone

Homeschool Day is your chance to experience a field trip at the High Desert Museum.

For just $10 a child, you can participate in an interactive and interdisciplinary day exploring volcanoes in the High Desert and Cascade Range! Sign up for our special classes that engage students in hands-on activities exploring plate tectonics and how volcanoes are formed. Explore the new exhibition, Under Pressure: A Volcanic Exploration (opening February 2026).  

This unique opportunity is especially created for homeschool students ages 5-12, although whole groups and families are welcome. Bring your own sack lunch to enjoy!

Adult supervision is required throughout the day. Registration is required. Space is limited.
