Outdoor learning sessions like fire building, outdoor cooking, and activities such as fishing, archery, canoeing, disc golf, volleyball, gaga ball, swimming. Day classes and recreation events vary each year and are partially dependent on parents who share their teaching or coaching gifts with the group.
It will be at Camp Tadmor near Lebanon, Oregon this year. The focus at Homeschool Outdoor School is on God’s creation and the apologetics supporting the Genesis account of Creation and The Flood.
Evening sessions are presented to build faith in the Bible’s teaching of the creation account and flood through compelling science presentations, by Dr. Thomas Kindell, founder and president of Reasons for Faith Ministries (http://mail.nwcreation.net/kindell/index).
Parents are strongly encouraged (but are not required) to attend as cabin counselors or teachers. Camp depends on a good number of parents coming to make it work.
